RAF Police appeal - Investigation into allegations of non-recent sexual offences at overseas units

Following an investigation, an Ex Royal Air Force Serviceman Richard Philpotts has been arrested and charged with a number of offences of sexual assault against children. The charges relate to individuals who were below the age of 16 at the time and were allegedly committed within the context of Scouting at RAF Gatow, Berlin in the 1980s.

RAF Red Arrows to fly over Pride in London

The Red Arrows will fly over Pride in London for the first time at this year’s parade in a show of support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and LGBT Armed Forces personnel. Nine jets from the world-renowned Royal Air Force (RAF) Aerobatic Team will perform a red, white and blue flypast for thousands at the event on Saturday, 25 June.

News - Veterans wanted for PTSD assitance dogs programme

Service Dogs UK, is currently calling for veteran applications from West Sussex, Surrey or East & North Hampshire to take part in their PTSD Assistance Dog Programme. The application process is open to veterans of both the Armed Forces and the Emergency Services. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can be a life disabling condition and the high price some pay for serving our country.

News - Archery GB & Help for Heroes team up in Plymouth for Target Tokyo

Archery GB and Help for Heroes have teamed up to search for potential serving or veteran military athletes who have the potential to win gold at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The team spent the weekend (1/2 Aug) in Plymouth with hopeful archers from the area and further afield at an indoor range at Devonport Naval Base and an outdoor range at the MOD’s Bull Point sports ground in the city. Some participants have been honing their skills as part of the archery club at Help for Heroes’ Plymouth Recovery Centre.
