RAF Police appeal - Investigation into allegations of non-recent sexual offences at overseas units

Following an investigation, an Ex Royal Air Force Serviceman Richard Philpotts has been arrested and charged with a number of offences of sexual assault against children. The charges relate to individuals who were below the age of 16 at the time and were allegedly committed within the context of Scouting at RAF Gatow, Berlin in the 1980s.

RAF Red Arrows to fly over Pride in London

The Red Arrows will fly over Pride in London for the first time at this year’s parade in a show of support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and LGBT Armed Forces personnel. MIRAK, a new training ship for diving delivered to DCI

Paris, 4th March 2016 – Mirak, a training ship built by Littoral shipyard in Marseillan, has just been delivered to DCI during a ceremonial launch held in Saint Mandrier. £4 million supported living and day centre for adults with learning difficulties greenlit in North Tyneside

A £4 million 40-bed specialist care centre for adults with autism will create more than 100 job opportunities in North Tyneside. The supported living and day care facility will feature sensory therapy rooms, communal facilities and technology enhanced accommodation to help adults with a learning difficulty to lead independent lives, learn new skills in a community environment.

At Farlington Sixth Formers are given the opportunity to do Voluntary Service. Volunteering can make a real difference to the girls’ own lives and to the lives of those in the local community. It develops and enhances skills such as team work, organisation, communication, time management and tolerance. For many of the girls it can help guide and inform them with future career choices and it can be a useful addition to their university and future job applications.
